FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE
THE REALTIONSHIP THAT THE TWO VALISE HAVE IN A MODEST PROPOSAL
First of all, we need to know the meaning of the two values to have the idea of the relationship with the story and it really important to support my essay. The meaning of fairness is
impartial and just treatment or behaviour without favouritism or discrimination or the quality of having light-coloured hair or a pale complexion. The meaning of justice is Justice is what we as a society regard as “right” based on our moral concepts of ethics, rationality, law, religion, equity and fairness. Justice needs to be in the light of the democratic principle of the ‘rule of law’. The rule of law is a concept that denotes that all decisions need to be made in accordance with the law. Nobody is exempt from the law. Now that we have the two meaning of the values we can refereed of the relationship of the two meaning and how they reflect in the story. For me the two values are reflect in our life every day we see, people say that life is not justice but I think that life is fair because sometimes we do things in the last that are the result in the present. The essay a modest proposal is based on money and is basically about poor people. Relating the values with Jonathan swift who is the author of the essay, he suggests a shocking solution to the problem, but, this solution is not related at all with fairness or justice and the essay neither.i do not think that the story reflects any of the values fairness and justice because what the author suggest is really shocking and disturbing. The idea was focus on him because Ireland was having a tough moment of money in their country and people were starving to death so the position that mr Swift had was to make the little kids fat and then killed to sell their meat to rich people will buy it and around the county too, so the economic in the country of Ireland were stable and they stop being in crisis. An example of this is that mothers were not able to work so instead of working they were forced to beg for their helpless infants and that is not fair. This values are not found in the essay because even if swift had the intention to help and he was looking for a solution he didn’t have in count and was not thinking about the pain the mothers and families would feel for not being able to be with their kids, and he basically want to kill kids in exchange of money, and this would help economically the poor families but swift would take out a part of their lives.e Jonathan thought that he had this amazing idea, he will be the hero of Ireland and he will help everyone except the kids that die but the rich people will be find, the country will be fin , who will care about those poor kids? And that though was horrible how can someone think about that and support that kind of idea and say that out loud to be proven my a meeting of several people who think they know the best for the economic situation of the country Ireland. Jonathan have a wrong idea about the meaning of this values because in his opinion he thinks that eating children will have positive effects on family morality, he says that husbands will treat their wives with more respect and parents will value their children more. And how is possible that women will be more respect because of her letting their kids die so someone can eat their meat, for Jonathan to have this feeling of ego of the savior of Ireland… this idea is men thinking that they need to respect their wife’s in order to their wife’s to sale their kids?? What kind of monsters will support their wife with that horrible idea and sociopath thoughts and instead of looking for other solutions he is giving more to the rich people than to poor people. He is really calsisit person who only gives the attention of the people who had it easy but gives the worst attention to the people that is love a nightmare everyday and that need help , they did not need someone that had this sociopath thought and actions.
This story do not reflect the values fairness and justice. This story reflect the exactly opposite of this values and it is is sad how people think in a terrifying way, how a human being with emotions is capable of thinking that way, of killing kids just for someone rich to eat them. It is ridiculous, and maybe in his way of thinking he thought that he was being a good man who had the answer of the mess, maybe he did think he had the answers but I do not think the naswered that he had was good, in that point the story was fair in his point of view, in anyoNe point of view was horrible and thus story for me did no have any kind of values execpt the bad habits and a sick person. F something that this happen today at any moment it will terrifying and disturbing for anyone, because now days you can see everything because of the suck people that live with us who need help with their mental illness. In my opinion I think that everything is not that bad, thank god that people did not aprobé his proposal because it will mess the country even more than it was in the moment of that time, and make a darker time of the country irelenad. I can not imagine desesperar mother who need help and mientras in order to survive and how men were taugh that if a women does that he should has more respect for his wife.
